Who we are
Splittier is a product by SoadTech LLC, a software company incorporated in the United States. The team works remotely, based in Valencia, Spain — engineering, design and support. We build software for problems we live ourselves.
Why we built Splittier
Shared-expenses apps have been around for years, but two patterns tired us out:
- Excel and phone notes that people still use because their app of choice is complicated or limited.
- Paywalls blocking basic features in apps that used to be free. If you don't subscribe, you can't scan a receipt or create one more group.
We wanted something different: free in the essentials, AI where it actually helps (receipt OCR, voice, chat), no invasive ads, and a personal finance module in the same app — because most people already track their own money and there's no reason to make them open two apps.
How we work
Mobile-first, not "mobile-too"
Splittier was born on mobile. Most expenses you split happen outside — at dinner, on a trip, after a grocery run. The app is designed for those moments, not for a desktop screen.
AI where it helps, not for hype
We use AI when it cuts time or effort: receipt OCR, voice to add expenses by speaking, and natural-language chat about your spending. We don't use AI for things a form already does well.
Honest freemium
Splittier is free for the essentials: creating groups, splitting expenses, multi-currency, recurring, voice, chat, smart settlements. The only paid feature is receipt OCR after the 4 free monthly scans — and even then, the rest of the app keeps working without limits when they run out. No paywalls blocking the basics.
No invasive ads
Splittier shows no third-party advertising. Everything you see in the app is product.
Privacy and data
We take privacy seriously because we value it as users too:
- We don't store your contact list. It's only checked one-time to detect which of your contacts already use Splittier; nothing is stored on our servers.
- We don't keep AI chat history or voice transcripts. Conversations are discarded when the session ends.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, instantly.
